scenes from last week

I spent the last five days in North Carolina, at Alena Hennessy‘s Soul Painting retreat. It was a transformative experience that does not lend itself to words, as I am discovering since returning home. I have never had an experience of such soulful connection with a group of women in my life and it was profoundly healing. My heart is full. So much beauty, so much love, which in the end all came together in the painting I did.

Heartbreakingly beautiful morning- just right for contemplative journaling to begin the day.

I began my mornings with journaling and coffee by the koi pond. The beauty was almost too much to take in.

My painting came together on the last day and captured everything I was feeling.

Lori, thank you so much! Your talk has really stayed with me and I’ve been thinking about how I might infuse more gratitude into my work. Thank you also for sharing the story of your journey with us- it resonated so much with my own path into creativity. Much love to you!
